It's Fashion Revolution Week!

Fashion Revolution reminds us to ask #whomademyclothes

Fashion Revolution is a global movement that runs all year, celebrating fashion as a positive influence, raising awareness of the fashion industry’s most pressing issues, showing that change is possible and celebrating those who are on a journey to create a more ethical and sustainable future for fashion.

Fashion Revolution Week is a #whomademyclothes campaign, which falls on the anniversary of the Rana Plaza factory collapse, which killed 1,138 people and injured many more on 24th April 2013. Brands and producers are encouraged to respond with the hashtag #imadeyourclothes and to demonstrate transparency in their supply chain.

We have recently read Fashion Revolution Ezine and Safia Minney's Slave To Fashion and both clearly demonstrate why change within the fashion industry is so necessary.

It's important to us that we know where and how our cotton is grown and our t-shirts made. We believe, as you are reading this, it's important to you too.

More and more brands are sharing how their clothing is made, but not everyone. Fashion Revolution is about demanding more transparency, ensuring a living wage and good working conditions for all of those involved in the fashion industry.
