Time To Say Goodbye

It is with very mixed feelings that we write this post.

The new year is always a time for reflection. We are so grateful for all that The White T-shirt Co has brought us. Last year was exceptional, but it was hard work and tarnished by missing our children in New Zealand. They moved in 2019, so pre-pandemic, and we’ve not seen them since. So after many heartfelt discussions, we feel our priority for this year is to dust off our rucksacks and spend time with our growing family overseas.

When we look back on launching The White T-shirt Co, we had no idea of the journey it would be, the people we would meet, or the incredible places we would visit. We initially launched in 2004 but suspended trading in 2010 when we lost our original yarn supplier. We then relaunched in 2014 with our dear friends and Danish manufacturing partner Green Cotton. So it’s been a joyous, challenging, fulfilling rollercoaster of a ride.

We hope and feel that we have been part of helping change the fashion landscape. And you have been part of that change by seeking out quality, sustainable clothing. We firmly believe there is a new and irreversible demand for well-made clothes designed to last, so although we will soon be wrapping our last t-shirts, we very much hope that it’s not a goodbye forever. You never know what the future holds. We are in the process of looking for a buyer or caretaker, so please stay in touch so we can keep you updated.

We can not express how sad we are to say goodbye. We know that many of you wear our t-shirts repeatedly and have been with us since we launched. You are a wonderful bunch, and we will miss everyone enormously.

We very much hope that The White T-shirt Co will be back. However, if you need a restock before then, our trading partners Buy Me Once, The Immaculate Vegan, Living Frankly and The Ethical Brand Directory will have alternatives. In the meantime, we would love good homes for our remaining stock, so please enjoy a 20% discount using the code WTC20 on all lines.

• Our general sale will begin on the 25th January and will close on the 18th February. We will not be able to accept any orders after this date.
• We close on the 11th March. We will be unable to accept any returns for a refund after this date.
• If you need to return or exchange an item please return promptly so we can re-list the t-shirt for other customers while stocks last.
• Unfortunately we can not accept returns or exchanges from international customers due to our fixed closing date.
